Description

Stymied by a lawsuit from Topps, the 1963 inaugural multi-player baseball issue from Fleer was limited to a single series of (66) cards. Presented is the complete series, featuring a pair of the extremely difficult checklists, one marked and the other unmarked. Hallmarked by classic design and photography, along with cookies in their packs, the Fleer issue served as an innovative transition to the 1960's hobby. The aggregate condition of the set is EX/EX-MT with some better and a few lesser. Key cards include: #4 B. Robinson (VG), #5 Mays (EX-MT), #42 Koufax (NM), #46 Adcock SP (GD-VG), #56 Clemente (EX), #61 Gibson (VG), #64 Cepeda (EX-MT) and the short-printed checklists (PR-FR, PR). A superb opportunity to secure this valuable edition in one shot. For a complete listing of the remaining key 1963 Fleer cards not listed in this catalog, please visit our website.
