The autumn leaves were already turning in the hills of the Allegheny Mountains as the Walter Johnson-led Washington Senators rolled into Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates for Game 6 of the 1925 World Series. It was October 13th in the Steel City as the Senators, up 3 games to 2 in the Series, took the field in what they hoped would be the deciding game. The Pirates, however, had other plans as they won the game, 3-2, and eventually the Series, 4-3. Presented is a full ticket to Forbes Field in Pittsburgh for Game 6 of the 1925 World Series. The ticket is in off-grade with two areas that have been repaired with tape. This full ticket at one point was folded creating a tear across the middle of the piece that now is reinforced with tape on the reverse. The second repair is located on the right portion of the ticket. Goose Goslin did his best during the game, hitting a homerun, but it was Pittsburgh that prevailed becoming the first team in baseball history to come back from a 3-1 Series deficit to win.
