Presented is a unique 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates composite cabinet photograph featuring thirty-one players from this Championship team. The Pirates played the vaunted Detroit Tigers creating one of the best World Series match-ups of all-time as Ty Cobb got his chance to compete on the grandest stage against his rival Honus Wagner. Old Honus bested Cobb in every aspect of the game as the Pirates won the series, 4-3. This 7x9 composite photo contains (31) individual 1” x 1- 1/2” images of the players and a list to identify them. The individual images each have a number to be identified and the players include Hall of Famers Honus Wagner and Fred Clarke. The cabinet is in VG-EX condition and is mounted on a sturdy backer. The reverse has the scripted name of Fred Clarke added in a previous owner’s own hand. This is a fine and attractive cabinet of a Worlds Series Champion.
