With a concentration from 1930s to the 1970s this vintage publication lot captures the American sports scene for over a half-century. In all there are (109) pieces, featuring magazines such as Life and Look, hard and soft-back books, various guides and digests as well as advertisements, each featuring a sporting legend on the front cover. Issues and books from the 1930s and 1940s show more wear than their 1950s and newer counterparts, though the overwhelming majority remain more than appealing. But a few highlights include 1942 Lou Gehrig: Pride of the Yankees first edition with dust jacket, 1955 Colliers Marciano, 1946 Look Greenberg, 1946 Look Ted Williams, 1955 Look Mays and Life magazines including 1948 Dodger Rookies, 1958 Robinson vs Basilio, 1963 Koufax, 1964 Cassius Clay, 1970 Ali, 1972 Olympic Tragedy and Campanella issues from 1953 (pre-accident) and 1958 (post-accident).
