Billy Martin is said to have been the proudest Yankee of them all, both as a player and a manager. A five-time World Champion whose post-playing baseball career was cut short after a single car accident that led to his death in 1989. Bill White was a five time All-Star, as well as the first African-American to do play-by-play regularly for a major league team, the Yankees, and the first African-American to be named President of the National League. Both legendary New Yorkers have clearly signed this Bobby Brown baseball. The sweet spot bears the name of Martin (“7”), while White (“8”) has signed the east panel. The ball itself does exhibit minor toning, though the blue ink signatures remain more than appealing. Simply put, a unique ball featuring two of New York’s favorites sons. LOA from James Spence Authentications.
