The 1988 United States Olympic baseball team defeated Japan to capture the Gold Medal, avenging the 1984 Gold Medal loss to their counterparts from the Land of the Rising Sun. Featuring a plethora of future big league starters, the squad would lose only one game during the entire round-robin tournament. The presented lot features seven pieces, each signed by all twenty members from the legendary squad. Four official 1988 Olympics 22x28 artist-signed lithographs are present, each featuring twenty signatures grading (8-10). The lot also features three team signed bats, once again featuring twenty signatures apiece. Two are Gold Edition Rawlings etched limited edition bats (33") numbered to only 250, #146 and #160 respectively. The final bat is a 35" Louisville Slugger featuring a 1988 Gold Medal Winners plate over the barrel. The signatures on the bats average (9). The team members are as follows: Slusarski, Barberie, Goodwin, Ventura, McDonald, Branson, Robbins, Masse, Wood, Abbott, Benes, Nagy, Servais, Silvestri, Griffin, T. Martinez, Fiore, Morandini, Milchen and Sprague. COA from James Spence Authentications.
