Description

The 1930 World Series would be a precursor to the following year's Fall Classic, as both the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals would appear in consecutive World Series. The presented program is of the St. Louis Cardinals variation, corresponding to Game 3, 4 or 5 of the series that the As would take in six games. Externally, the program is very attractive, exhibiting a strong spine, smooth edges and just minor toning. There is a light crease from being gently rolled that penetrates the inner pages, though otherwise the pages are crisp, clean and well bound. The interior is also packed with photographs and features an unmarked scorecard listing Hall of Famers Frisch, Bottomley, Hafey, Cochrane, Simmons and Foxx. An extremely scarce program that will illuminate any World Series, Cardinals or As collection.
