Republic Pictures utilized the immense popularity and star power of the Brooklyn Dodgers when producing the 1954 feature film, Roogie’s Bump. This light-hearted film about a boy who becomes a major league pitcher after a bump on his arm allows him to toss the ball with lightening speed. Presented is the complete lobby card set of eight that features the images of four Brooklyn Dodgers, Roy Campanella, Billy Loes, Russ Meyer and Carl Erskine. The title card, in VG condition, shows all four Dodgers in inset pictures with the Hollywood stars displayed around the baseball centerpiece. Three of the remaining seven 11x14 lobby cards have images of Roy Campanella and other Brooklyn Dodger stars. As with other famous baseball films, the baseball stars are actually in the movie playing themselves. With the noted exception of the title card, the other seven lobby cards are in VG-EX to EX condition. It should be noted that these rare lobby cards are seldom found, especially as a complete set.
