Despite losing three prime playing years to serve in the military Hammerin’ Hank made his mark in baseball history, capturing two MVP awards, two World Series crowns and appearing in five All-Star Games during his stint with the Detroit Tigers. Presented is an interesting Feeney ONL baseball beautifully penned by Greenberg (d.1986, “7”) on the sweet spot. The reverse sweet spot shows a lengthy inscription as well, though not in Greenberg’s hand, reading Lifetime Avg .313, Henry Benjamin Greenberg, signed Oct 7 ’85, Beverly Hills, California, Detroit Tigers 1930-1947. The ball itself exhibits minor use, though parlayed with the inscription, it only adds extra lore to an already impressive collectible. LOA from James Spence Authentications.
