Description

Few, if any, New York Yankees signatures from the last two decades are as desirable and scarce as those of Billy Martin (d.1989). By his own admission as far as Yankees went, he was not the greatest of all-time. Though no one could argue against his presumption that he was “the proudest” of them all. The always-fierce player and manager has beautifully penned the presented Louisville Slugger 125 Genuine “Billy Martin” Model bat on the barrel in silver paint-pen. The signature grades a strong (“7-8”) with the first name showing slightly more flow than the surname. The bat measures 34" and weighs 32 ounces, exhibiting no signs of use or significant imperfections. A stunning, extremely scarce piece of lumber accompanied by an COA from James Spence Authentications.
