Topps began selling baseball cards in wax packs with a piece of gum to entice children to purchase their product; Bazooka Bubble Gum raised the bar and sold gum with baseball cards on the box as their niche. The irony is that now the intact Bazooka boxes that once held pieces of gum are hot commodities. Offered is a complete 1967 Bazooka Baseball 48-card set on (16) individual Bazooka boxes. Each box is in NM-MT or MT condition with (13) 20-cent boxes and (3) 25-cent boxes (Panel 11, 13 & 16). The key panels include Panel #3 Mantle/Wagner/Peters, Panel #4 Marichal/Killebrew/Callison, Panel #6 Mays/McDowell/Kaat, Panel #9 Chance/Clemente/Cloninger, Panel #10 Blefary/Regan/Aaron, Panel #11 Bunning/McCovey/Boyer, Panel #13 Davis/Rose/Santo and Panel #16 Kaline/Alou/B. Williams. The only blemish on this absolutely beautiful set is a small crease on one of the flaps on the first box, but the crease does not affect the baseball card panel in any way. This quite possibility is the finest complete box 1967 Bazooka set in the entire industry.
