The 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates won ninety-seven regular season games en route to besting the vaunted New York Yankees in the World Series. Though the Yankees would outscore the Pirates 55-27 in the series, including three games that could be called blowouts at best, the Bucs would find a way to win the series in seven games. Offered is a 1960 World Champions baseball signed by twenty-four members of this unforgettable squad. The Giles ONL ball was signed with a blue ballpoint pen with darker ink denoting 1960 on the reverse sweet spot. The signatures grade (“6-8”) due to varying degrees of slight fading, though every signature remains legible. Signatures include Clemente (d.1972), Burgess (d.1991), Christopher, Groat, Hoak (d.1969), Skinner, Nelson (d.2006), Mizzell (d.1999), Baker (d.1999) and Murtaugh (clubhouse). This ball is accompanied by an LOA from JSA. Please visit our website for a list of the remaining signatures.
